Starting later today I will be starting the new updates to change the Writers System over to an automated system. This new system will dynamically create a writers list that updates as soon as new writers add content, as well as the pages for each writer. This way we won’t have to create individual pages for each writer ourselves.
The only requirements will be that the user must fill out their profile on the main site with the proper information, introduce themselves on the forums, and apply to the writers group on the forums. Once a user has been accepted into the writers group they will be able to submit their written works to the proper sections of the forums which will in turn automatically generate the pages here on the main site.
Also, we have plans to update the latest works listing on the right side of the site. This update will change the links to point to the site version of the work instead of the forums version. We will also have a list of the latest users to post their works. We will be including an extra “[+]” at the end of each link that will link to the forums version of each as well.
Also, we will be working on a new filtering script to strip [BBCode] from the pages displayed here on the main site. Another new addition will be a page with current up to date information on how to format your written works properly for viewing them on the site.
Make sure to bookmark your current writers page if you have one so you can find your works until the updates are finished if need be.
Please note that no changes will be made to the forums so you can always access your stuff there easily.
